Karl studied bachelor of technology in graphic design at (then) Port Elizabeth Technikon of Art and Design from 2000-2003, and was awarded with a Cum Laude.
Karl gained experience working in London as senior designer for UK's largest cycle retailer, Evans Cycles, where he was responsible for various advertising campaigns, and conceptualising and designing the seasonal catalogues amongst other things. Karl also enjoyed a variety of freelance work for clients such as The Ice Hotel Sweden, Lille Barn UK, and London Garden Rooms.
Ida studied BA fashion design at the University of Westminster in London from 2001 - 2004, and was awarded with first class honours.

Ida gained experience within the London fashion industry working for retailers and designers such as Julie Berube, Markus Lupher, Debenhams, New Look, Top shop, Dorothy Perkins, and Tesco. Responsibilities included design and development of casual wear garments and prints, trend forecasting, and research.

Apart from design, Karl and Ida love to go on bike rides, spend time in their veggie garden, take walks on the beach, go to art galleries, draw monsters, look at slides on their old Kodak Carousel projector and make old school - new school.
